This is my humble attempt to see if anyone in in the Ruhrgebiet has an interest in joining a group in the area to sing American shapenote hymns from the Sacred Harp hymnal. I am an Ami living in Germany who would like to start a group in the Bochum-Essen-Dortmund area, and hope to find some singers who can read English and would like to sing old four-part (acappella) hymns from this old southern tunebook. If you find a location and get a bunch of people together, the Bremen group is willing and able to travel to Bochum for a Kick-Off-Singing.
